I really enjoyed this wonderful thriller. I started to read it when I had gone to bed early at ten o'clock and at three I had got about half way through. I put the half finished book down and turned the light out. My head was still buzzing at the shere pace of the read and sleep was impossible that night! Half an hour later it was no good, I turned on the light again and picked up "Octopus", found my place and resumed reading. I finished the book at seven!
I had thought it was not really my type of book but the pace of the action is unstoppable. I have made enquiries as to any other books Mr Paddy King-Fretts has written and it appears he is a relatively locally well-known author living on the edge of Exmoor. He has written a autobiography of his one time residence in France, a biography about a well known Exmoor resident "staghunter", and a romantic trilogy featuring the Knight family of Exmoor. Also I believe there is another Exmoor romance caled "Larkborough" But "Octopus" puts them all in the relative shade. Mr King-Fretts must write more, especially when he is drawing on his experience of the SOS "22"!
I can't wait for his next rendition!
