Product Description

Review

Its strengths are many: solid premise, use of paratroop landings in advance of D-Day, sound knowledge of weapons from that time, and some decent characters. --Jeffrey Swystun (Ottawa & New York)

Product Description

World War II is raging across the globe and the Nazis are being pushed back slowly by the victorious Allies. It is 1944 and the Allies are poised to open up a second front in occupied France to join the Soviet Union in a final assault that will bring the war to its conclusion. In the early hours of the D-Day invasion, Sergeant Smith and his unit of elite airborne infantry arrive in occupied France. Their mission is to capture a series of important bridges deep behind enemy lines prior to the arrival of the main infantry. It soon becomes apparent however that the Germans have a terrifying secret weapon, one that could drive the allies back into the sea and could change the fate of the War!

This is the first novel in the exciting Nazi Zombie saga. It is ‘Night of the Living Dead’ meets ‘Saving Private Ryan’ in a bloodthirsty World War II night of terror. In the series the Allies are forced to fight an impossible war across the globe against the unstoppable undead and their ruthless Nazi masters. It won’t be long before the undead clash with the forces of the British Empire, the United States and the Soviet Union in every theatre of World War II.

2.0 out of 5 stars Great story, terrible grammar 27 Dec 2011
By Alan
Format:Paperback
Really looked forward to this book, the story is great but the amount of spelling mistakes and bad grammar is a major let down sadly so only 2 stars from me

2.0 out of 5 stars Great story spoilt by poor quality control 3 Sep 2011
By DTopp
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Let me start by saying that I really did enjoy the story and whilst it might have been a little clichéd in places as action zombie stories go I'd have been happy to give it four stars. Unfortunately this is all badly let down by some poor quality proof reading meaning that the book contained errors that shouldn't be in a final release.

I'm not sure if the print version is the same as the Kindle version but the Kindle version contains way too many errors such as wrong but similar looking words being used in sentences such as thought and though, extra words added to sentences meaning that they have to be read again to work out what's going on including one sentence which made no sense at all and in at least one case a character is referenced by another characters name leaving me thinking that I'd missed out on some of the story for a character to suddenly appear somewhere else.

This really does spoil the reading experience and hopefully a newer error free version can be produced.

A few errors whilst not exactly being ideal would have been acceptable but there are so many in this book that I'm removing two stars from what have been a four star rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly excellent read 28 May 2011
By Matthew
Format:Paperback
I'd had the book a number of months before I started reading it, and in April I finally found the time to finish reading the book.

This is a well written book that has various threads that come together surprisngly well. The build up to the main battle scene is great. And when it does arrive it is a relentless and prolonged attack that does falter.

When I did reach the final page I wanted to read MORE. What better way to finish a book.

This was an enjoyable read and I wish I'd read it sooner.
I will buy another novel from this author but he writes quicker than I'm reading!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping Stuff 28 Dec 2010
By Bobkat
Format:Paperback
The Nazi's have been working on an experimental and highly dangerous weapon which they believe will win them the war. However, they are unable to control their own creations and unleash a terror which doesn't care who is friend or foe. A great read, which has you wanting to know what happens next and ends in a time honoured tradition with an epic battle. A great addition to the zombie fan library.

1.0 out of 5 stars poor story poor grammar 4 Jan 2012
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
Yet another book of pure horror rubbish! What is it about so many horror writers today that they just do not get it...they need to have as a fundamental a decent story and that is just not present here in Night of the Nazi Zombies. I actually enjoyed the start, boys own for sure but nothing wrong with that...D Day is imminent and our heroes have a very hard landing on French soil ahead of the main invasion fleet. The task of Lieutenant Harvey and Sgt Smith is to attack and preserve bridges so that our lads can make successful inroads into France part of the great push to Berlin....and then they run into some deranged Zombies...and that's the end of the story as the remainder of the book is devoted to descriptions of repelling the attacks of blood thirsty Zombies...woa what a story...how well thought out...you should hang your head in shame for writing such puerile rubbish (how did I ever finish) The grammar is atrocious...do these so called "books" (and I use the term loosely) never get proof read?? I love horror but writing of this nature does more to damage the reputation of this genre and in my opinion should never be published!!
