I have never enjoyed watching cookery t.v as much as i have since Nigella appeared on the screen.
Now to be honest, i dont appreciate much of her early books and series as much as i ought, as, i was to young to take altogether much notice, or realise the element of fun in cooking then.
Where as i have always enjoyed cooking, it has been somewhat recent (two years) that i realised Nigella's amazing gifts. What a beautiful soul she has. The Nigella Christmas Book, is to me all of the things we should be, Knowledgable, interesting, colourfull, fun, Plentifull, Giving and sharing.
However this is not about the book as much as it is about it's predocessor, the short Christmas series, Nigellas Christmas Kitchen.
This DVD is packed with stunning, creative, festive if you will recipe's from the book, not all the recipes, or the series would'nt end which to me would not be a problem. There are just enough recipes to show you how to dampen the stress and anxietys of the 'Main event' some oh so festive treats and traditional meat's like ham for instance.
It is most definately worth it's money, i would have paid more! Nigella is inviting, her colourfull vocabulary and metaphors are as sweet as honey, her take on classic recipe's are genious. i thank god for Nigella, her attitude towards food, representation, sharing and family are festive alone, this is purely a non intoxicating overdose.
Thankyou Nigella, I'll be a fan for Life.
