Similar bad experience to others - if you use an electric whisk it damages the inside of the bowl leaving black marks - this then started to craze andcrack and then the bowl chipped so I had to throw them out. Have just bought the melamine bowls and so far are amazing.

I simply love them. Ok, £40 for 4 bowls is a bit much you might say, but they're not only practical (the shape makes them great - whisking is so much easier in this shape of bowl and pouring-out things once you've made them is super-easy too), they're also very stylish. Why reserve them for use as mixing-bowls when they're perfect for serving from too? The range of sizes makes them really versatile. I love them!!!

I recieved these bowls for Christmas two years ago and I think they are just so so beautiful and also very very useful. Yes they do mark if you use an electric whisk, but still they are wonderful. Usually when you use them there is something in the bowl so you don't see the marks anyway!! The four sizes are so useful - for both preparing and presenting food.

The little one is perfect for salad dressings, the next one up is just right for crisps or fruit, the third for small salads or desserts and the large one is great for baking (the shape really helps when whisking by hand) or for serving large salads etc.

Just gorgeous!

We got a set of these bowls for our wedding. They look good and the design is nice and innovative. However, an electric whisk produces black marks inside which don't wash out and they are not heat resistant. When I poured hot soup into my largest one it cracked in two. Not quite what you expect from a kitchen bowl, and certainly not at that price.

I love the look and feel of the bowls - lovely design. But I'm really disappointed with how quickly the enamel has cracked in the 3 largest bowls. I wash them carefully (always by hand), but cracks appeared within weeks of purchase. Friends with the same set report the same result with theirs. Not acceptable, really.

I loved the design of these and was really thrilled when I received them as a Christmas gift. With occasional use however the glaze cracks quickly (in my experience anyway) which then leads to food particles making there way into said cracks, the less than pretty result being grey black lines all over the interior of the bowls, not attractive and certainly not sanitary.
Save your money and buy the melamine edition instead. I assume they will have a longer life span.

I purshased these bowls as a wedding present for myself last month and have used them constantly since for everything from baking to serving. They are not only beautiful but also practical. My dream is to have a complete Nigellified kitchen and this was a great start! I won't hesitate to buy any other product from her line and to be honest I was a bit hesitant after reading such negative reviews on here...All completely untrue! That being said, i do take great care of my things and if you abuse them, it's no wonder they'll reflect that!
These bowls come HIGHLY recommended from this Nigella fan from Holland!
