I am really disappointed with this. The surface is fairly rough (doesn't it look very smooth in the photograph?), not aesthetically pleasing, and certainly not pleasing to the touch (important for a cook I think) plus the central dip needs to be deeper - as it is, the herbs etc that you are chopping do not stay within the dip - the whole point of having one surely.
Also, all it is is 3 strips of wood bashed together and, from the looks of it, held together by glue so, although I have only just recently started using it, and have treated it properly, it has already split along one of the seams which of course renders it useless.
Disappointing and not to be recommended.
....and now, a few weeks (and only a few uses) later...it has now fallen to bits completely.
Also, all it is is 3 strips of wood bashed together and, from the looks of it, held together by glue so, although I have only just recently started using it, and have treated it properly, it has already split along one of the seams which of course renders it useless.

Pretty cheap quality. The herb chopper doesn't really require this, you would do just as well or even better on an ordinary chopping board.
I bought this at the same time as my mezzaluna knife. I was disappointed when the wood began splitting. I didn't put it in the dishwasher, I made sure that it was always washed by hand and never soaked. It advised treating the board with foodsafe oil, but nothing stopped it from splitting. I had to throw it out after just 3 months. I now use my mezzaluna knife on a standard chopping board.

Review of Mezzaluna board
Original item was damaged and replacement arrived before I could return first! Excellent service. Item was a gift and recipient was thrilled with it and accompanying knife.
