This set of recipes is brilliant and having tested many of them I can say that they do work and they taste fantastic. Only small gripe is that it would be goofed to have an index of episodes/recipes on the box. If you want to find a particular recipe to check something you have to go through all the start up guff at the start of the DVD.

Love, love, love Nigel Slater! Excellent recipes beautifully presented and his trips to other peoples allotments are a highlight as are his trips into his own garden. I would not be without Nigel Slater in my kitchen.

If you love food this is for you .I had never tried butternut squash before , but Nigel's recipe with bacon coverted me it was yummy , this d.v.d will awaken your taste buds and awaken your cooking creativity , it has mine ,superb .

Easy Cookin !
Excellent, simple easy to do recipes even I had no problems following them and the results were great. I can recommend this for non cooks like me.

Saw both series on the tv and loved how simple and inexpensive the food was to make. Have tried several recepies and all (most) have been successful. Read more

Nigel Slater can do no wrong. I have not yet seen this dvd, but on the strength of Simple Suppers 1 I would heartily recommend it. All his suppers are tasty & easy to prepare. Read more
