I will start by saying I'm a male in my twenties. I work in a stressful office environment and having a cigarette for me is that quick fix and a moment to escape the office. This spray for me is absolutely right. However it may not be right for some of you, to find out, please read on. Apologies for the lengthy review but I hope what I said can help you.

My Experience:
Activating the spray, by a three movement mechanism, then spraying it three times to engage the canister is very straight forward, do not be put off by reviews saying otherwise. Read the instructions closely and anyone can do it. When you first spray it into your mouth, it is a bit of a shock. You can instantly taste the mint, but it does burn a little. Do not let this put you off, if you are of strong constitution, like a little spice in your meals you'll be fine. It takes about a minute or so to work, but when it does you actually do notice it. All of a sudden I felt awash with a good feeling, I felt relaxed, I even weirdly smiled to myself at almost feeling refreshed. I have a minty taste in my mouth. I can still smell my aftershave. I haven't had to go outside into the cold and rain. If you use smoking to get out of the office/workplace, you could suggest to your employer because you are trying to stop, "do you mind if I step outside to do this while I get used to it?". Furthermore, the cannister looks classy, black with a carbon fibre effect label. It's minimal and doesn't look out of place on my desk next to my car keys and phone.

Who Should Use Caution?:
I will advise this isn't for everyone. It is ideal for those of us who need the quick, hard fix. However other people who are more dependant on smoking, and need a constant supply, this may not work for you. You are limited to 2 sprays every hours, that's roughly 1.5 cigarettes an hour. If you smoke more than this consult your doctor for advice. I would also suggest people who may struggle with the concept of the spray, the directions or the hot taste should also avoid it. This may include the elderly, the young or those with poor judgement as over using the spray will make you feel terrible.

Many thanks for reading and I hope what I've said has helped you make the right choice. Good luck on stopping smoking, it's one of the best things you can do.

Quickmist review 13 July 2011
By B man
I have been smoking a pack a day for over a decade.
I have tried may things to quit over the years. Sheer will power alone, gum, books, patches, but none of that has worked.
Nothing gave me the relief i needed when those nicotine deamons demanded another hit, and as hard as I tried I always went back to the smokes.

I have been using the quickmist spray for about a month now, and I havent touched a cigarette.
This is the longest I havent smoked in over 10 years.

The spray takes some getting used to, and does burn, but once you learn where to spray it in your mouth and not to breath in whilest doing so it becomes tollerable, but most importantly that urgent, addicted impulse to light up just fades away into the background.
I started off needing about a spray every hour, but over the weeks this has diminished, so that right now I am taking maybe 4 or 5 sprays a day.
I am hoping to cut it out completely within the next few weeks, but to keep it on hand just in case. Especially if I find myslef a few drinks down the hatch and the self controll deminished a bit.

I cant speak for everyone, obviosuly, but what can I say, its working great for me, and I am really stoked.

Give it a go, you have nothing to lose.
I can smell and taste again. Its like discovering a new scense.

I gave up smoking at the end of June 2011 tried this by chance as the patches made me feel terrible and I couldn't sleep on them. I have tried all the other products such as nasal spray (dreadful!), gum, champix, microtabs et al with varying effects. The first issue I had with this is getting the dam thing open...the first one I owned took me 5 minutes to open and then i managed to spray myself in the eye! Not a good start. I still find them difficult to open but I get there in the end. Once opened, spray under the tongue if you don't want to burn the back of your throat. It does work, and works better than any other product I have tried BUT, I am having trouble giving it up! Sounds daft I know but I am now spraying this more times per day than I was smoking cigarettes. I have promised myself this is the last one I am going to buy and will take myself down day by day. I never expected to be more addicted to a NRT product than I was to the original problem but there you go!

Hugely overpriced and misleading
Other drawbacks seem to be adequately covered by other reviewers. For me it's the exhorbitant cost due to needless waste which is the point at issue. Read more
