Very disappointing. Firstly, the packaging - It's very poor and I immediately thought, "budget product".

Don't be fooled by the title either, it's not a Starter Kit. . When something is labeled 'Starter Kit' it's reasonable to expect everything you'll need to get 'started' to be included in the 'kit'. Not so here. What you get is the device and the usb charger cable, that's it. No liquid is included so you'll need to fork out some more cash for the juice to properly get started. You'll have to figure out what you'll need on your own though because the instructions are virtually non existent. If you are a beginner and this really is your 'starter' set then you probably get frustrated quickly. An incomplete starter set is frustrating and disappointing and not a great start to anyone's vapping experience.

I might have been willing to add another star to this if it had actually worked but it didn't even last long enough for me to try it out. After charging it up I went into town to the vapping shop to buy liquid to go with it and in the 10 minutes it took me to get there it had broken in my bag. Or maybe mine was a faulty one.

    Either way, I'm unimpressed.

For what it is the product is acceptable at the advertised price, you can easily pay more for a battery and clearomiser. In my use over a couple of weeks the battery has been OK and the easy-drawing clearomiser has not leaked as they often do. But I wouldn't have called this a starter kit because it lacks any e-liquid, so anyone new to vaping would have to make at least one additional purchase, and to replace a cigarette smoking habit really needs at least two batteries. Using the term 'starter kit' implies it is targeted at the novice, but there are no instructions on how to fill the clearomiser, or indeed on how to use the item as a cigarette substitute. For anyone wishing to giving vaping a try, this is probably not the best product to buy.

As other reviews have highlighted, this is a very basic package of a 'starter kit' that is actually just the e-cig unit and battery with the USB charger.
The packaging is just a blister pack of plastic backed with card containing brief instructions on how to use the unit. With no vaping liquid supplied you'll have to buy your own separately.
Unlike more expensive e-cigs this one has just one voltage setting.

This was tested by the household's experienced vaper, my adult son, who has been using an e-cig for some eight months. He started with another brand of e-cig very similar to this one but quickly switched to a more expensive one with variable voltage.
The reason he gave for switching is that the voltage from the battery used in this e-cig just isn't powerful enough to give the vape 'hit' he required - and he wasn't a heavy smoker, some 10-15 a day.

He equated using this e-cig to using the lowest setting of an adjustable e-cig that he bought, i.e. one with variable voltage. This is the one he currently uses as his 'main' e-cig. The Nico Less will be kept, but put to one side, in case something happens to the main e-cig he uses. The NicoLess is fine for that purpose, in his opinion, and he would be happy to use it until he could replace his main cigarette.

Apparently the quality of the liquid used in e-cigarettes can vary widely, which may also have led to some bad experiences by people using the product that isn't necessarily the fault of the e-cigarette. This was something else the resident vaper wanted to point out.

Several reviews have stated that their unit did not work out of the box. This one did, and worked well given the limitations of the product in power.

"The NICO-LESS Starter Kit is probably the most popular kit on the market" proclaim the manufacturers of this budget E-cig, but I would beg to differ. For starters it is an E-Cig and not a Shisha, it does not come with any "kit" whatsoever (indeed the packaging is pretty woeful without even any meaningful instructions) and it's design is now somewhat dated in comparison to most better quality E-Cigs.

Yes, it is cheap (relatively), but there are two fundamental design considerations that make for either an enjoyable vaping experience, or a disappointing one. Firstly, the filaments that absorb the nicotine liquid are made of silica here, this is fine but newer models use ultra fine cotton, which is far more absorbent (ergo an easier, more fulfilling draw) and more importantly, do not taint the taste of the liquid (silica does). Secondly the seal which prevents the liquid from escaping into the mouth (it is a poison after all) has to be 100% secure - to my amazement, holding the E-cig upside down I could actually watch the liquid seep through the plastic ring, meaning that when vaping some of the liquid could end up in my mouth, not good!

In terms of the vaping experience itself...........well mediocre at best, average battery life, noisy and I had to draw heavily to get that all important "hit" on the back of the throat. All in all, despite the tempting price tag, very little to make this a strong recommendation as the end results go nowhere near the actual "look" of the Cig. One to avoid.
