At over eight minutes this is like the curate's egg - good in parts. I'm really sensitive to changes in chill-out music - the tiniest can destroy the ambience for me. The first 1'28" are blissful, but then the repeated, insistent & almost sinister notes put me on edge & destroy the atmosphere. While the chilling-rather-than-chilled notes do disappear, most of the rest of the track continues with a strong slightly up-tempo beat that overwhelms the soothing ambient sounds beneath. The final minute or so is exquisite and the final note fades to leave me feeling totally blissed out - but I could have done without the middle six minutes. The first & last sections are a 5* for me...but the rest isn't my scene at all.
