It has been quite a year for Nicholas King and he is thrilled to be launching his collection through Amazon. Since founding his eponymous brand in 2008, Nicholas has slowly perfected the art of the bangle, picking up a legion of fans worldwide. Whether it’s seen on a celebrity, from Cheryl Cole to Fergie of The Black Eyed Peas, or one of the doyennes of the jewellery world, Iris Apfel, Nicholas's collection continues to draw attention. Carefully selected stores around the world from Fenwicks Bond Street, Henri Bendels in New York, The Museum of Fine Art in Boston and Club 21 in Bangkok already carry his work and his work continues to gain momentum. From Vogue and I'D magazine his work is in constant demand. This year saw Nicholas named one of the top 100 jewellers in the UK, by the leading figures of the industry.
In 2010 Nicholas pulled his production back to his home city of London, which has enabled him to really challenge himself, while perfecting his craft. Each piece is lovingly made from scratch in his workshop in South London. Each piece is unique and has been worked on for days. These are real objects of desire, crafted and elegant. He sources markets from as far a way as Hong Kong, Bangkok and New York looking for objects and fabrics to build his collections. With a background working for a diverse range of designers from Alexis Bittar, Donna Karan and John Galliano, Nicholas draws on his years in the fashion industry to find inspiration.
