Book Description

2 Jun 2008
The Costa Del Sol is a paradise for many. Sun, sea, beaches and a laid-back lifestyle - no wonder it attracts so many ex-pat Brits. But for women who find themselves alone or trapped in stalled marriages, it can be a version of hell. That's where Dean Saunders comes in.The handsome 20-something Essex boy has what any man would consider a dream job. He's a gigolo, paid to put a little excitement into the night life of bored Costa Del Sol woman. For the first time, he tells his sexy story.Dean first thought of his unusual career when he was propositioned by an older lady in a bar in Marbella. The experience got him thinking and it wasn't long before he'd set up in business with a keen client base. Sometimes they wanted sex, sometimes they wanted company - sometimes they wanted both. And sometimes their husbands wanted a word with Dean. He's seen it all.The once-shy young man blossomed into an open-minded, confident Costa player and he has an inexhaustible supply of stories about great nights of passion and narrow escapes from cuckolded men who were often of the big and scary variety. He's also had encounters with well-known women who have found themselves stranded on the Costa del Sol.Indiscreet, funny and breathtakingly cheeky, you'll love the hottest star of the hottest coast. He's revealing his extraordinary life in the most outrageous memoir of the year. Meet the man the ladies will pay a fortune to be with.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fabulous 24 July 2008
I loved reading this book, it's an honest piece of writing and you not only get a glimpse into Deano's life but you actually follow his journey, the journey he's on to find himself. And it's this insight, into his journey which I found very touching. The book is full of laughter. The epilogue is so beautifully written that you really feel and understand by the end of the book that Deano has definitely found the answers to the questions he set out to discover. I truly recommend this book, it is a must read and I guarantee you will have big smile on your face as you read Dean Saunders's book!

5.0 out of 5 stars 2009's MUST READ OF THE SUMMER!!! 12 Aug 2008
By N. Page
I was looking for a summer read for my much awaited holiday to the "Costa Del Something" when I read a review of this book. Not typically my type of read .The norm for me either Jane Green.. or if I am feeling "High Brow" Danielle Steele! I was on the plane when I started to browse the book thinking I would need a more sedate place to concentrate. How wrong I was !!! Cliché as it is I could not put this down. At first I was determined to not like the cocky "Essex Boy" but after a few pages started to warm (if not feel uncomfortably hot) towards the slighty niave lethariro!! What I enjoyed the most was not the sex.. Surprisingly..(this is no mills and boon, no old english settings in a apple sented coutyard here)
but the way he portrayed women and studied their behaviours , Needless to say I finished the book after 4 days of my 2 week holiday and was gutted..I wish it had lasted Longer But alas ladies as we well know this doesn't always happen!! My rating? 10 out of 10 can't wait for the follow on.... Perfect summer read and will have you looking at those forty something women, sitting next to you in that bar on your "costa del something" in a different light!!. N Page Sussex

5.0 out of 5 stars Blinding read for all!! 30 July 2008
From the moment I received my copy I found it hard to put down. I was reading it on the train, at work and at home, so needless to say didn't get much else done. It's an excellent piece of work, which has just the right amount of humour, reality and even suspense. The style of writing was very good and able to keep me wanting to read just one more page....which turned into just one more chapter.....and finally one more book please!!!

I couldn't stop myself from smiling, and sometimes laughing out loud at the capers that Deano got himself into (quite embarassing on the train). This is an important factor for me when reading a book and can definately say this one has plenty of occassions in it that will bring a smile to anyones face.

All in all I would definately say this is a good book for almost anyone to read. Up there with the likes of Hotel Babylon with just the right amount of everyday life blended with humour to keep you wanting more. If you want a good book to read, whether it be at home or to get your holiday off to a start, you can't go wrong with this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Love, love, loved it! 24 July 2008
I first heard of this book in February and have been eagerly waiting for it's release.

Received on a Sat afternoon and literally could not put it down, finished by Sun evening.
This book manages to be both touching and laugh out load funny at the same time. This is the perfect summmer pool or beach read and I guarantee you will not be disappointed. I for one will be waiting with baited breath for a sequel and to find out what became of Dean.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tantalising teaser into the Spanish underworld 1 Dec 2008
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
A complete change from the books I normally read, but after the first chapter I wanted to continue on the journey with Deano. I loved how he was able to engage me in this transformation from a fairly naive boy into a 'man of the world'

Looking forward to the next extract from Mr Saunders life tales.
