In todays work world, there is deceit and duplicity all around us. The Prince can help make one more aware of the bull-shenanagins that others may be trying to perpetrate, and thus prepare us for their antics. Machiavelli was perceptive and accurate. To this day, I still have his portrait hanging in my home, and encourage my students to read The Prince at least annually.
