This is something of a holy grail for folk devotees such as me.It was issued on Vanguard originally, but that recording company never deemed it worthy of reissue on CD, apparently.Even when at compiled "At Newport" discs by the likes of Pete Seeger and Joan Baez, tracks from 1959 were conspicuous by their absence.I never understood that choice - and a query to Vanguard went unanswered. The three LPs have evidently fallen out of copyright now, thankfully (at least in Europe), and it's wonderful to have them available again. The reissue could have done with more copious liner notes. And the tracks could easily have been accommodated on two CDs rather than three. But these are relatively minor quibbles - it's simply great that these recordings are out there once more.
