Product Description

Our offer: North and South Islands on two DVD's. In three months, filmmakers Silke Schranz and Christian Wuestenberg covered 10,000 kilometres in a bought car. They travelled all over the North and South Islands. You can see what they found there in this new double-DVD: fascinating scenery, beautiful coastline and beaches, glaciers, lakes, woods, mountains, villages, cities, waterfalls, rivers, volcanoes, exclusive tips and much, much more. Plenty of information on tours, sailing trips, skydiving, surfing, trekking and prices in New Zealand. Two years of work went into this documentary. The result is a wonderful film about New Zealand and its unique landscape. Run time: 57 minutes per DVD. (114min) Stereo. Made in 2009. Languages: English and German. The film is very different from traditional travel films. There is no advertising, the authors backpacked under their own steam and had three months to film. Informative text, no superficial comments, like "plenty to see for young and old" or "the café invites you to linger". Who is the film aimed at? At anyone who wants to find out what New Zealand has to offer before going there. At those who are looking for especially appealing day trips in New Zealand. At the curious, the enthusiastic, the critical, the passionate, the fun-loving, nature-lovers, travel enthusiasts and individualists. At anyone who has been to New Zealand and would like a souvenir on DVD. What does the film offer? Valuable information and tips on the North and South Islands. A film that makes you want to discover New Zealand for yourself. Because New Zealand is so big and has so much to offer, this information can help you to plan your own trip better. Please expect delivery to take approx. 3-4 working days to the UK or to other Countries.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Sense of Being There, 14 Sep 2009
We watched both films in preparation for our trip to New Zealand, and were really inspired. Great footage, all the highlights, and some unusual places off the beaten track. You get a different perspective than from the standard travel literature, and the light narative style gives the films an entertaining touch.

We are planning a 6 week trip to New Zealand, and the films have helped us to decide on numerous places we definatley wish to visit, as well as a couple that we can happily miss out on.

All in all, two new films that are well worth seeing! We are now looking forward to our trip to New Zealand more than ever.

Little gem!

I was given these DVDs by a friend who was trying to convince me to take a trip to New Zealand with her. She chose well - these cracking films made me want to book my flight straight away.

They were totally not what I was expecting - they have a lovely quirky style, and really give you a feel for the place. The scenery is fantastic, and they cover all kinds of stuff I would never have thought of.

There are loads of real insider tips, not just the usual stuff, and it also gave us a good idea of what we don't mind giving a miss - really helpful since we're only planning a three-week trip.

Brilliant stuff!
