Good collection of Challenging puzzles... 11 Nov 2005
By Sudoku Junkie - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A good number of easy and medium ones to start off with, then difficult ones to enjoy and solve. Then there are the fiendish ones to really satisfy when the 'urge' kicks in--not so tough that you need a computer to solve, yet challenging enough to take half hour, fair bit of concentration, some pencil markings, some head-scratching...then voila, the EUREKA moment!

Oh, the four stars is for the limited number of Fiendish puzzles; there are only 25 out of the 100. Would give it a '5' if the whole book were all of Fiendish level.

great book, especially for beginners 27 Dec 2005
By LS - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
I thought this was a great book for getting familiar with Sudoku. I had tried another one before, "Pocket Sudoku" with a forward by Will Shortz, and found it to be tedious. This one is more straightforward and fun. Plus - the paper holds up better to erasing - which I did a lot of at first!

From the Board Games Editor at BellaOnline.com 6 Dec 2005
By Megan Romer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The New York Post is often credited with popularizing sudoku in the United States.... as if we needed something new that we could become addicted to! We fell for it like a ton of bricks, and now millions of us need to get our fix daily, if not more often. For those of you for whom one puzzle a day just isn't quite enough, pick up a few sudoku books so you'll always be prepared. This a great one to start with, with puzzle difficulties ranging from very easy to wickedly difficult. Even the best sudoku-ers enjoy a simple puzzle from time to time (they are quick enough to do during a coffee break), and this book also makes a nice starting point for beginners.
