Product Description

Product Description

An exclusive Christmas short story from the author or The Last Time I Saw You.

Amy is on a film set in New York, trying very hard to wrap the advertisement she's filming in time to catch the last flight home for Christmas. But the actors are squabbling, the star of the piece, a cat, won't play ball and, truthfully, Amy's heart isn't in it anyway - she'd escaped to the Big Apple to try to forget her broken heart. But as snow begins to fall on Christmas Eve, someone on set with Amy makes her realise fairytales really do happen in New York...

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and touching 12 Jan. 2013
By xThadd
Funny, touching and acutely observed, this short story sits really well with Eleanor Moran's other work. It's shorter - of course (it's a short story, people) - and you're getting it for free. What's not to like?

5.0 out of 5 stars A lovely read! 7 Dec. 2012
What a smashing book. Not my normal genre, but it was recommended by a friend and quickly won me over. Thoroughly good fun...

5.0 out of 5 stars The heart is a Christmas hamper... 4 Dec. 2012

Sharp writing, warm characters, a hint of satire and a large dollop of Christmas romance adds up to a heady blend. I'm not normally a sucker for romantic fiction, but this short story got me reaching for my mistletoe. There's something special about yuletide in New York and this sweet, witty encounter between two unlikely love doves, captures it. It also provides the answer to that seemingly unanswerable question; what the hell is in eggnog anyway?

1.0 out of 5 stars Was this just an extract? 6 Feb. 2013

I do not know if I ordered an extract of the story or if it was just a disjointed and disappointing tale! If it was an extract, it certainly wasn't clear when I ordered it. It is a dull story with irritating characters and a poor plot line.

really not sure just what this 'story' is trying to be, A short story that starts bland and goes nowhere. Only redeeming feature is the aforesaid shortness

1.0 out of 5 stars Disapointed 22 Feb. 2013

I thought this book sounded really good on the description, and downloaded on my kindle, but I felt that it didn't get started, in the end I deleted it off because it was quite boring.

Sophisticated prose from a warm, witty, insightful writer. I'm a fan of Eleanor Moran's writing and this is no exception!
