This film was not rated highly by the "experts", but when I went to see it at the cinema, I basically left punching the air in delight and feeling very emotional for the turn of the year. New Year's Eve is a brilliant film for the festive spirit, and I do not blame them for waiting 1 year to release it on DVD, as everyone will now buy it for Christmas. It will get you laughing, emotional, and right up for a good new year, to put the past behind, and to look forward to an exciting future. Loved this film, can't wait until it is released!!

Bought this for my Wife (who loves the whole showbiz/ celeb thing) this Christmas after reading some of the reviews on here. A big problem with reviews is that the majority come from people who have loved or loathed something and the inbetween are often not moved to comment, so it was a bit of a gamble.
We put it on last night and were bored senseless. I'm not sure whether you'd call this a comedy (because it isn't funny), a drama (because it isn't moving), perhaps a rom because there's an element of girl meets boy.
I have no idea how they got so many big names interested(it's like an expendables for girls)because the script is pretty, well, nondescript. Maybe the dollar bills fell out when they opened it.
Either way, we turned it off after an hour so don't expect anything memorable.

Feel good movie
Chic flic, probably, good for a girly night in with friends and wine etc.

Enjoyable film
Purchased as a stocking filler for my teenage daughter and we watched it together. Lots of big name actors in it and an enjoyable story.

I only ordered this as it has Bon Jovi in, but if you like rom-com films this is the perfect film for you, nice easy going but keep you guessing plot.
