Dean's previous baking books have won World Food Media Awards and Gourmand World Cookbook Awards. Besides being a prolific cookbook author, Dean is also recognisable on television. He is the judge of the highly successful cooking show, New Zealand s Hottest Home Baker, and the host of many other TV programmes that promote baking excellence.

I found the recipes clearly set out, and easy to follow. The ingredients are generally easy to find, but the recipes are stil inviting and many standard loaves are made interesting to both novices and experienced bakers.

I wish that I could find some of his other books.
