5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Collection 22 Aug 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Absolutely loved the series from when I was a child, would wake up early just to watch it.
It really annoyed me how I could never watch them in a consistent order but now that I have purchased this I am able to do just that and relive my treasured childhood memories of this amazing Marvel franchise cartoon, no comic book pun intended!

Delivery was as standard, came within the time slot it said it would, had free delivery too so it was even better.
It took a little while to process my order though, but I think I am just nitpicking to be honest, still deserves 5 stars.

My only problem with this DVD is that there are no English subtitles, and whilst I do not need them I know many people might need subtitles to be able to view something if they are deaf or hard of hearing etc.

Will definitely be purchasing the corresponding X-Men box set after I have finished watching these.
I would recommend this to anybody who is a fan of Spider-Man, especially of the 1994 animated series.
Great product, I am very happy with my purchase :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Spider-Man Collection! 2 May 2014
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This was a huge hit in the 1990s! I really enjoyed watching this series from beginning to end. `Spider-Man', the cartoon series made from 1994-1998, is a great collection of episodes depicting the exciting adventures of Peter Parker as Spider-Man fighting a gallery of villains across many storylines and sagas. This DVD collection contains five seasons spread across ten discs over 21 hours of action.

SEASON 1
1. `NIGHT OF THE LIZARD'
The first episode introduces us to Peter Parker as Spider-Man, who has a fight on his hands when his science teacher Dr Curt Connors turns into the deadly Lizard. The Lizard has recently made his movie appearance in 'The Amazing Spider-Man' in 2012'.

2. `THE STING OF THE SCORPION'
This episode features the Scorpion (Mac Gargan) who is working for J. Jonah Jameson. Jameson enlists Dr. Farley Stillwell to transform Gargan into the super-villain Scorpion, a predator for Spidey. But Gargan goes crazy and kidnaps Jameson. Can Spider-Man save Jameson?

3. `THE SPIDER SLAYER'
This is essentially a two-part story. The first episode has Spidey come across the Spider-Slayer, a giant robot arachnid programmed to kill him. We meet Spencer Smythe, creator of the Spider Slayers, and his son Alistair. We also meet Norman Osborn, Harry Osborn and Flash Thompson.

4. `RETURN OF THE SPIDER SLAYERS'
Following on from `The Spider Slayer', Spider-Man come up against three Spider Slayers designed by Alistair Smythe who wants to kill him, believing he killed his father. But Spidey has to find a way to outmatch the Spider Slayers with great cunning. In this episode, Peter meets Mary Jane Watson.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Spiderman ...EVER!!!! 24 Aug 2013
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
Used to record this while I was at work and enjoy later. One of the best animated series ever. Why Disney isn't selling it here in the states is beyond me. They are really missing out on a gold mine. Thank you so much!

What can I say? Quality. Better than the newer revamped versions. Sometimes animation is better when 'more simple'. That said, animation is very good. Read more
