Nicely packaged and arrived within 48hrs.Informative booklets accompany the kit. Kept my 13yr old occupied on Boxing Day going around taking fingerprints from all surfaces and people!
Case scenarios included- need to sit and read the literature first to get the most out of the kit.
Suitable for 10yrs up with supervision.
Need to buy csi type gloves as not included.

This is a great product. Bought it for my 8yr old son and he found the scenarios challenging but followed them without a problem. He watches programmes with a forensics theme so he was excited to be able to copy the techniques. The fingerprinting was a hit as was the unknown substance testing. He followed the experiment instructions faithfully and was able to duplicate the results easily.
I recommend this for children who are interested in science and have some degree of patience as some of the experiments require waiting a short time for results to appear.New Scotland Yard Forensics Kit

This item is great value. It offers lots of creative, educational play. My daughter loves behavioural analysis, and this kit comes with software that provides psychological profiles. The evidence bags are great and the fingerprinting fun. All in all a great gift. Very well thought out

Detective kit
My daughter loved this when she had a detective party for her 7th birthday, her friends also enjoyed using the parts of the kit to detect who stole the cake

Not for me
This isn't suitable for my 10yo as it has irritance powders and is too complicated. Needs Adobe Reader (everything you must do is CDROM based and I wish they would just print it... Read more

Good fun but not much of it
Your kids may well love this Forensics kit which faetures 4 crimes to solve and fingerprints to take BUT as the purchaser I must admit I was dispappointed when opening this kit. Read more

forensic kit
haven't watched the dvd yet but my son has finger printed everyone. ink is hard to use, too much or too little water and you can't see the print. Read more
