This is a seminal work. It is the supernova that births new realities. It is a binary-star to the the superb, companion volume, "The New Pearl Harbor", because, whilst that book bravely raised many of the big questions that have become cornerstone to "9/11 truth", it was an inquiry into the oddities and coincidences in the official 911 theory, the likes of which would have had film producers turning down putative scripts as too far fetched. A Swedish film producer told this writer, "no one will believe that one of Bush's brothers had been indirectly in charge of security at the World Trade Centre" - and yet, it is a fact! Then there's the fact that the commission report into the whole tragedy actually failed to mention the mystifying collapse of the third New York skyscraper that day; a building the same size as some of the tallest buildings in Europe - and not a word about its demise! The latter book, "The New Pearl Harbor, Revisited" is published 5 years after its companion volume. It is not a reprint; not an updated version. It is a second volume; a stand-alone 2nd part in a 2 book set. They form an indispensable pair of great tomes. "The New Pearl Harbor, Revisited" is a contemporary, hard-hitting, evidence-packed tome that delivers a killer-blow to the thoroughly undermined official 911 theory. Stark facts and stunning insight fills every page. It's quite a shocker and it is very gripping stuff. I felt like I could not put it down; I had to turn another page. That's where the likeness to a great horror novel, or a suspenseful thriller ends, for this is not a work of fiction. If only it were...
Taking just one chapter will allow me to illustrate how Griffin works around the lies and deceits of the official story. The chapter about the generally less-discussed (and not seen) Pentagon strike reminds us that to believe the official story, i.e. the government-sponsored conspiracy theory, we not only have to be naïve but we must ignore the facts, and the endless, contradictory stories and muddled official eye-witness accounts.
Officially, according to the Bush government, Flight 77 returned to Washington, from where it had departed, under the control of short-in-stature but apparently super-human strong-men, who had rounded-up both pilots and passengers, by threatening them with small blades attached to plastic handles. According to the official theory, they forced one and all to the back of the plane. They took the stick and doomed themselves and hostages. How did the administration know this? They knew, because, coincidentally, the wife of the then U.S. Solicitor General, Ted Olsen, was onboard, and according to him, in an interview he gave on Fox TV, on 14th September 2001, she called him twice, collect-call (he said she had a problem with her credit cards), from an air-phone, on the seatback in front of her seat. From here she told him of the situation on-board; that the pilots had been forced from the cockpit and they were in the back of the plane with her and the others. Then, according to the official theory, the trained and fanatical pilots executed a circus-style feat of flying and crashed the plane into The Pentagon, the best defended building on the planet, surrounded by its own state-of-the-art, ground-to-air missile defence batteries; and squadrons of fighter jets a few minutes scramble-call away, at nearby Andrews Air Force base; not to mention Langley, a little further a-field. Taking down a handful of traffic lights in the 2 seconds before it struck, the doomed jet was filmed by up to 80 different video cameras in the locale but the FBI were collecting the films within 5 minutes of the crash and we are not at all allowed to see the footage, for national security reasons (we have seen just one or two frames - just 2 tiny parts of 1 second - from a video that the government wanted us to see).
In contrast, here are some of Griffin's facts. They give short shrift to the official theory. Griffin reminds us that the American Airlines Boeing 757 that purportedly crashed into The Pentagon was not fitted with seat-back air-phones in 2001 - a rather big point this, as the story of what happened on that plane comes directly from the U.S. Government's Solicitor General, who told the world that his wife made her last ever calls to him, at his Washington desk, from such a seat-back phone. The FBI have since also contradicted his later story, where he said he had been mistaken and she had actually called him from her cell phone. In 2006, at the trial of the so-called "20th hijacker", the FBI stated that Olsen never, ever spoke to his wife, the beleaguered Barbara Olsen, at any time during her ordeal aboard the doomed plane; not on a cell (the technology was not available at the time), nor via an air-phone (the plane did not have them). Why did Olsen lie? Was he coerced? So, we no longer have any witness testimony from onboard. The Bush version of events regarding the Pentagon strike, asks us to believe that a poorly-trained religious devotee, who was a very poor trainee-pilot - according to his flight schools - who'd only flown a few hours in small aeroplane, with an instructor, flew, for the first time ever, a Boeing 757 (taking over control during a mid-air fight, with a very tough pilot (according to family and friends he would never have been willing to give-up his plane) who oddly failed to squawk a panic code to ground control (an action that would have only taken 3 seconds and an action that we are told to believe was 3-seconds too long for all of the 8 doomed pilots on that day). He then took the huge plane into what has been called a military-style, precision manoeuvre (air traffic control staff who were watching the transponder-less plane, via radar, commented that it must be military) which included a 7,000 foot downward spiral, at 530mph, exiting that same dramatic move at a little over 200 feet above the ground. Not only did he brilliantly avoid detection by the automated missile defence batteries at The Pentagon, that will shoot at anything within a certain range, except for friendly, i.e. military or government transponder-fitted planes, he cleverly also missed a 224-foot-high broadcasting antenna mast, which stood directly in his path to The Pentagon, after which, and in just 3 seconds flat, he dived, at over 530mph, to near-ground, pulling-up, to level-off at a staggering 10xG-force, hitting the first of a series of street lampposts, chopping them down, without leaving any turbulence damage to the cars or lawns 20-feet below, and then smashed-into, coincidentally, the newly renovated and scarcely occupied (least important, on that day) wedge of the Pentagon, i.e. the wedge furthest from Rumsfeld's office. The Pentagon was hit a few feet above lawn-level, between ground and first floor, somehow without churning a blade of grass or hitting the massive electrical workers' fittings, which were on the lawns at that spot, on that day; and was left, initially, with quite a small hole, a few yards (or meters) across, where the nose of the plane - according to Rumsfeld, punctured the re-enforced concrete! As for the much, much harder titanium metal engines ... well they just vaporized, or so goes the official story. Not that anyone claims the fires were 6 times hotter than the fires in The Twin Towers (titanium only vaporizes at about 3000 degrees, whereas carbon fires fed by jet fuel burn at a fraction of that). The tail and the wings must have vaporized before touching the outer walls too as, immediately after the strike there was just the hole, no laterally smashed areas, from the wings and no vertically destroyed facia, from the tail. Interestingly Rumsfeld is seen on film, shortly after the strike, scurrying across the lawn, helping as a stretcher bearer. That seems very odd behaviour for a U.S. Defence Secretary: a man should have been in the bunker, directing operations, as any other Defence Secretary would have been, at a time when his country was under multiple attack - it was an hour after the first strike and they weren't meant to know anything about who/what/how, so Secret Service should have had him off the ground, and down a hole in a few seconds but they didn't. Transport Secretary Minetta has stated that he was with Rumsfeld, in The Pentagon, shortly beforehand and over-heard Rumsfeld being warned of the approach, to which Rumsfeld gave a stand-down order; to let the object keep coming! Interestingly, during Rumsfeld's first TV press interview, during the morning, he stated that it was "a missile" that hit The Pentagon. The front elevation of the struck part of The Pentagon collapsed about 30 minutes after it had been hit, though US government sponsored publications like "Popular Mechanics" mentioned that the collapse happened as the plane struck. Their `911-debunking' special edition was edited by a member of Michael Chertoff's family. Michael Chertoff was Bush's Homeland Security Minister. He now, together with the ex-head of the CIA, under Bush, manufactures the full body scanners we are being pressed into using, and airports are being pressed into buying, at 100,000 a time! It's a great business: terror. For them, at least.
