Just received a new Neuropad2 which worked for a few minutes and then the screen went blank. Now it will not boot up. I shows a screen with the word Android for hours. Any suggestions on how to clear this would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the suggestion. I spotted the little Pinhole, but do not know at which poInt in the boot sequence it should be Pressed. I tried keeping it held down and then switching on, but with no effect. Pressing it t any other time also has no effect. This has been tried with and without an sd card in.
drop us an email via your Amazon account and we will get this resolved for you. Not in office until tomorrow now so you may have to wait until the morning for a full response. If the reset pin doesn't fix it we will probably have to get it exchanged for you.
My pad keeps telling me that either the gmail or the browser, or the launcher is not responding. In addition, sometimes there is no response from any of the buttons. When it works its great but this is very irritating and unacceptable.
I occassionally get this, when the CPU maxes out. Normally this happens when I am trying to do too many things at once, or the webpage I'm browsing has huge amount of data that needs loading up. I just click wait and it usually comes back quickly. It might help to close down apps that you aren't using.
Hi A My son's neuropad2 has just seized up, i can switch it off by holding down the power switch for 5 secs and then re boot, once powered up it then gives me about 10 seconds before it freezes, i am trying to get to menus to uninstall apps to try and unfreeze it in the meantime. i beleive he has downloaded an app that coincided with the problem. Will a factory reset fix it, is that the small hole by the usb socket and how long do I have to hold it in?
Hi, I bought one from you for my mum and got it connected to the wifi at my house but she lives 100 miles away and I can't sort it for her there. she now can't seem to do anything and gets a message saying "I need better network connection, can you check it". Apparently she then can't do anything except check again. Can you help?
To do a factory reset, first switch off the tablet. Then press and hold the volume up button and then press and hold the power button. It takes a good few seconds for it to then boot up into the recovery menu. You can then choose the factory reset option and this will clear all the installed apps, hopefully allowing you to successfully boot up.
As for the network error, I have not seen this one before, is this when you try to connect to wifi in the settings menu?
My daughter's neuropad won't boot up - stuck on the android screen. If I try the factory reset will she lose all her apps? I'm not worried about the free ones obviously but will I be able to re-download the bought ones from google play without paying again? I assume they are linked to the google account not the tablet but just want to be sure! Thanks for any advice
Yes, if you do a factory reset, then the installed apps are normally wiped. I don't know if you can then reinstall paid for apps, as I've only ever used free apps. Maybe try looking on the Google Play website, there may be a FAQ section that will answer this.
hi my sons neuropad was frozen with android. i saw the above suggestion and have trid factory rest and reboot but screen still frozen on android screen. I have tried the home page button but nothing. we have had this product for 2 weeks, any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance
My son has been using his Neuropad Ultra since Christmas day (approx 7 weeks), with no real issues. It now won't start up. It sits with the swirling Cyogen screen and doesn't move beyond that. I have switched it off - let it run completely out of charge, but each time I start it up again it doesn't progress beyond that. I have bought two Neuropads, and the other has already been replaced by Android Slates due to issues with that one. Both kids have been heartbroken, can't face this one expiring too! Will look for and try the reset option - fingers crossed! Losing the apps will be a pain though :(
I think Cyogen mod is used for upgrading to Jelly Bean, however, I didn't find JB so good for things like YouTube, so flashed it back to ICS ROM. It depends on how confident you are with this though, although there are a lot of other threads on how go flash these. otherwise I would recommend contacting Android Slates.
My Cloudnine neuropad suddenly threw up an automatic factort re-set. Once it re-set, it will not connect to my wifi - says authentication problem. Password correct checked it on a laptop. Tried switching off and on and also forcing a reset but re-set pin does not work. Stays on whilst I hold it down. Is there anything is settings or process manager I should check?
My CloudNine Neuropad 2 Simplicity was working fine, however when i turned it on today it won`t boot properly. When I switch it on it goes to the Neuropad2 screen then it goes to a black screen labelled with 'android' and it stays in this suspended state. I have accessed what appears to be the boot/self-check menu by holding down the power button and esc/menu buttons together, but unfortunately this is all in Chinese. The only clue we have is that item 17 on the menu is red, suggesting it is the item that's failing? In the main menu (options 1-19), 1 and 2 have no status, option 17 has a red cross and all other options have a green status. Can someone maybe even suggest a button sequence that would allow a factory reset that I could try? There does not appear to be a factory reset button on the device, the only things on the device are power, esc/menu, headphones, DC, charger, mic. Thanks.
