5.0 out of 5 stars north London style 28 April 2002
Format:Audio CD
This is a re-issue of Task Force's legendary first LP, this is why they're probably the most popular London rap group today!
Although Task Force is lead by the outstanding brother MCs Chester P & Farma G, this LP also features (MC) Eno Red Rum, (DJ) Mr. Thing & of course the production of Mark B.
The production is top notch, & contains some British hip hop anthems such as 'IT'S ON YOU', 'GRAFORIGINEES' & undoughtably 'BROTHERS McBAIN'.
What more can I say ? if you have a true love for hip hop, poetry or just good music, then get this!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Buy from the source 16 May 2013
By B. Shaw

Great album, but don't pay stupid prices. Just hit up Chester P Hackenbush on facebook as he is often selling their back catologue on CD for a tenner, plus he'll sign it!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Mini LP bursting with talent and skills 31 May 2001
Format:Vinyl
No doubt this '99 release on k'boro records is a pioneering example of uk hip hop. Intergrating one of the uk's best producers, well know for more recent works with the rapper Blade, with two of the most talented UK emcees. If the talent of Task Force and Mark B was not enough we also have UK DMC champion Mr Thing putting on the cuts for this record. The production is tight as you would expect from Mark B and the beats are varied ranging from the sinister sound of "Brothers McBane" to the pumping sound of "Its On You". The brothers deliver original flowing rhymes in their true North London accents telling stories of graf writing and the pit falls of a life of robbery. Skinnyman from out of the Mud Fam features on this mini LP and as usual shines in his very distictive style. Eno Red Rum is another featured emcee who I know nothing about, though his rhymes do little to match those of Chester P or Farama G (Task Force) they do add another dimension to the record due to his distinctive sound. For me the best track on the album is The Low Down Showdown, though it lacks a solid subject matter the long drawn out verses of Chester P and Farma G allow their lyrics to shine like they can in few other tracks. Mark B also uses some nice samples and an original piano loop. The only bad points of this album are the lack of tracks after hearing nine tracks bursting with lyrical talent and world class scratching one would like a bit more to satisfy their hunger. So if your fed up of American accents talking about New York and California, why not pick up The New Mic Order and listen to some real tales of life in London?
