The idea for the book is great: have famous stylists, interior shop owners, interior architects and such open their homes to the reader. I expected a lot more photos and images of the ACTUAL interiors of the various homes. I was left disappointed as each home was presented through few, albeit interesting photos. Each home is presented in a whole page of text and you get visions of really cool juxtapositions of style and color, yet you never get to see a lot of the things you are excited to see done in these homes. Who edited this book is what I want to know? If you mention something really, really cool in the bedroom or bathroom or bedroom, the reader expects to SEE it. Instead there are pictures that seem wholly unrelated to what the writer of the text has focused on. A better coherence between text and photos would have greatly benefited the experience. However, if you enjoy reading about ideas you will not see, this is the book for you!
