An excellent book recounting the child migrations to Canada, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa during the 1700, 1800 and up to 1969. Although I liked the book there was no information regarding the children used as forced labour building their own farms and living quarters well known at this time and the shame of the christian brothers responsible.

I bought this book to try to understand what my Grandmother went through when she was sent to Canada. I found plenty of relevant information, some very detailed. Even for someone who does not have a British Home child relative, the book makes a good, interesting read.
