Absolutely marvelous. Full, and very clear details at all stages of completion. Interesting ideas and colour alterations. Needs thought and careful planning to get in the swing but great when finished.

The Best Storm At Sea Ever! 4 July 2009
By N. L. Gibbs - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Storm at Sea patterns are never easy because there's so much bias involved, but this book and the ruler that goes with it reduce the margin of error by about 90%. The photos in the book are beautiful and will spark your imagination. Don't just buy the book, get the rulers that go with it. Worth every penny! Probably not for beginners unless they have some guidance. fast2cut Quilters' TRIMplates

Stress Free Way to Make Storm at Sea Quilt 7 Sept. 2009
By M. Taylor - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The author has researched how to make the Storm at Sea quilt pattern with ease using her method and her ruler. Very original patterns and interesting ways to look at the Storm at Sea pattern. Ruler makes the blocks perfect so you'll have matching seams with precision. Highly recommended.

Challenge of the Month! 7 Nov. 2009
By Carol Neville - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I bought this book (and the templates) as a challenge to myself. I was convinced I could not do this, but Wendy's illustrations made the difference. I don't do well with written instructions, but the pictures and diagrams combined with the tools made even this "quilter" successful. Good job, Wendy!

Great project book 2 Feb. 2010
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com

One of my favorite patterns. I just wish authors/book publishers would offer the template with the book. Take a hint from Eleanor Burns. It makes it faster for the quilter if we have our tools right there. And when the template comes in, this will be the next quilt I make.

BEAUTIFUL Quilt! 17 July 2011
By Oregon Girl - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Our Quilt group all made this quilt in a class. It was such fun to see them all finished. They were all different and all VERY BEAUTIFUL. It's not an easy quilt, so I cannot recommend it to a beginner, even with the TRIMplates. I would not think of trying to make it without the TRIMplates. I have one small criticism, the TRIMplate set does NOT have the Little Sis block and I wish it did, it would have made the construction easier. There IS a TRIMplate for 'Little Sis' and I would recommend ordering it. The corner squares on the Little Sis block were a bit small. Luckily I had not cut all of them, so I made them a bit larger and trimed them down and that helped a great deal. The Diamond in a Square unit (TIS) takes some care when starting. Don't start strip pieceing before mastering this unit, it can be tricky at first, and then it goes smoothly. The quilt units all went together easily and nicely... and the results were SO LOVELY.

I will make this quilt again someday.
