Dieting Made Easy!,
By
This review is from: The New High Protein Diet: Lose weight quickly, easily and permanently (Paperback)
I orginally had this book in 2005 and started on the diet.Everything is set out and explained in a detail and there are lots of recipes too! Now the saying you never see a fat Postman is mainly true but due to having an illness I wasn`t able to work and piled on the pounds,I was the typical bloke, eating loads of sandwiches, chocolate biccys and fast food, nearly every night it was either chips or mashed potatoes with whatever and hardly any veg,so when my wife bought this book and said it would be better if we both did it I was horrified! We started the diet,I thought I`d be starving by day one but I NEVER feel hungry now, before I was always snacking or `treating` myself with a sweetie usually a doughnut or biscuit now I don`t even bother with chocolate,my two teenage daughters have loads of it in the fridge and I`m not even tempted! I appreciate my food alot more now and for people who say it`s not healthy eating,I`ve never eaten as much vegetables as what I do now, also I enjoy fish in the morning now as well for breakfast..much more healthier than Tony the Tiger or new Honey nut cardboard pap. Have I lost weight?....I was 15st 7lbs back then I`m now 12st which I consider my ideal weight, did it take loads of willpower?...NO,I NEVER felt hungry infact I didn`t even think I was on a diet,if I can lose weight anybody can.

easy diet,

This is the easiest diet Ive ever tried And it works,my husband has been on the diet with me and has lost two stone up until now, myself Ive lost just under two stone in about two to three months. The best thing is, though, we have both found that there is life without white bread and potatoes, which has always been our downfall on other diets, but the information and recipes in this book have made going without our carb fix easy.WOULD DEFINATLY RECOMEND.

Amazing!,
This review is from: The New High Protein Diet: Lose weight quickly, easily and permanently (Paperback)
I have been on just about every diet there is over the years, but nothing has been as easy as this! Now in my forties and being only 5ft 2", my ideal weight is around 9st, I struggle getting down below 10st usually but in just 3.5 weeks I've lost 11 lbs (my starting weight was 10st 6lbs), I can hardly believe it! This is not a diet, it's a way of eating which I will now conform to for the rest of my life, how can eating real butter, cheese and cream be a diet??? A typical days eating for me is:Breakfast - slice of wholemeal bread spread with real butter and either two large boiled eggs, OR bacon, mushrooms and fried eggs, OR scrambled eggs made with a dash of single cream. Lunch - if I can manage it after such a big breakfast (usually I'm not hungry), just a couple of chicken drumsticks with salad, or a piece of cheese, or egg mayonnaise and salad. Dinner - usually one of Dr Clark's wonderful recipes from the diet book or his cookbook, with veg or salad, followed by sugar free jelly and squirty real dairy cream. Evening snack - 4 Carrs Melts crackers (my favourite and also the lowest in carbs that I've found so far), spread with real butter and piled with cheese. Drinks - I've given up coffee and now drink peppermint or fennel tea, and water or diet coke/lemondade. In the evening I have a couple of brandy and diet cokes, or gin and diet tonics. Like I said earlier, this is NOT a diet - can't recommend it highly enough, it's worth giving it a go guys, you can't fail! BTW, this is NOT Atkins, I've tried that in the past and ended up with headaches, bad breath, etc, this is not as restrictive in carbs as Atkins, you eat the amount of carbs your body needs, no more, no less.
