Product Description

The entire three part adventure collected in a box set. In 2085 most of Earth's population has been evacuated to Mars after mankind's battle against the robotic MMEs. A rag-tag group of freedom fighters in Australia are the last hope to destroy the MMEs and their command computer GORN, or so they think. The group, led by Sandy Newman, come across another group of survivors who have put their faith in a new religion.

From the Back Cover

The year is 2085 and mankind’s battle against the robotic MMEs is almost over. With most of Earth’s surviving population evacuated to Mars, only the toughest and most resourceful freedom fighters remain to fight a futile guerilla war. In the bombed-out wastelands of Australia, Sandy Newman and her ragtag squad are the last hope to defeat the mechanical foe. Deep in the desert lies an intact nuclear missile silo, with a warhead capable of destroying the stronghold of the MMEs and their command computer, G.O.R.N. During a search for the secret base, Sandy and her squad are shocked to discover another group of survivors, the followers of the Geo Chris religion. Deep within their hideaway stands the mystical Tree of Revival, ready to grow once again and return the burnt Earth to life.

But G.O.R.N., the MME command computer, has another fate in store for Sandy and her team, only she has the key to her dead father’s lost project, a secret power which will enable G.O.R.N. to eradicate mankind forever! With barely any supplies left, any hopes Sandy and her team had for survival seem doomed to failure as the supercomputer G.O.R.N.’s MME battle troops close in for the kill. But millions of miles away, the Mars Defence Force are closing in on Earth, getting ready to launch a devastating invasion that will reclaim the mother planet for all mankind. As the countdown to the final showdown between silicon and human begins, Sandy Newman must face an even greater enemy in the heart of the MME’s command tower. She must destroy G.O.R.N. once and for all, or Earth will be utterly destroyed …

4.0 out of 5 stars Great action with an interesting plot 1 May 2004
Format:DVD
I was looking forward to this DVD after reading the summary because it was so interesting. It never failed me when it arrived.

New Gall Force follows Sandy Newman and her team of agents trying to destroy the machine faction MME. I was quite suprised by the way they layed out the scenes in the first episode because the it changed quite a lot and got confusing.

That's the only fault I would say as the storyline keeps you gripped. The music is brilliant to, it is like the old Megadrive/Master System tunes that brings in the action to it.

It's very funny aswell with one of the agents doing "her" usual thing. There is also little twists in it that keeps you into it. The animation is very well done with the robots and the spaceships on Mars.

I would recommend this to any manga/anime fan.

Mankind has almost won it's long-running war with the robotic monsters the MME.A ragtag band of command soldiers, led by the very un-Japanese sounding Sandy Newman, are searching in the wastelands of Australia for an abandoned nuclear reactor. The story progresses from there, and it really is a very interesting story of cyberoids, inner fears and hot women blasting things up(which looks much better than it sounds, trust me!).One of the best things is that the music is great, which is very unusual for an early 90s anime!I promise,if you buy this you'll really enjoy it!This series was so popular in Japan that it spawned a sequel.Buy it,you'll love it,end of story!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Cool Sci-Fi Anime 10 Mar 2012
Format:DVD|Amazon Verified Purchase
The story is based after a war where Man was against Machine which let the Earth decimated after a nuclear exchange but theres some nukes left and it's up to the resistance to use these to their advantage to turn the tide and this is where the plot thickens.

The video quality is good but you only get the english dub which is ok but some voices are just badly done. The animation is great and the charactes are nicely done with some nods to other sci-fi films such as Aliens andthe music has that great 80's feeling, overall its a good dvd release but the dub donesn't do it justice. Also the other parts in the series haven't been released in the UK and they probably never will.
