My opinion about my book
This diet is extremely effective in helping users lose weight. One can expect to lose nearly 20 pounds after just one week on the diet. Most of this eight is water, however some weight loss truly is because of the loss of fat. One can expect a permanent weight loss of about 5 pounds. This diet is not for people who are pregnant, out of shape, over 20 pounds overweight, or who have any medical condition. I was given this book Xmas 2001, I have used the cabbage soup diet 3 times before but this book gives some extras that improve the week. It allows you 8fl oz of skimmed milk (which seriously improves tea and coffee!) or yoghurt per day and does not seem to have a detrimental effect. Ms Danbrot also has some recipes to spice up the soup and some good fitness tips. I recommend the book but the diet even more.

My husband lost 10 pounds in the first week; tried it again three weeks later and lost another eight! the book is padded out by general dieting information; most of which we already know. All you need is the diet plan which is simple enough. Follow it and you WILL lose weight. No question.

I only follwed the plan for 4 days and lost 5lbs in 3 days.

However I have say the cabbage soup tastes foul - even with added spices. For this reason I could not have lasted any longer !
