5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent! 4 May 2011
By N. L. Sampson-Bach - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
When I read the first Jane novella (Vampire Assassin), I thought it was a very nice short, and the main character was likeable and made me want to read more. It was a little light on action, being more character set up than anything else. Still, I really liked the character Jane, and as I thought that Warren was a writer worth watching, I promised myself I'd read #2 when it came out.

Boy, am I glad I did. In the second book in the series, New Blood, Warren totally hits her stride. The characters spring to life, the plot, while taking a little bit of time to warm up, definitely delivers some solid punches, and the world of Jane starts to deliver some great twists on the typical vampire metaverse. I read through it in a heart beat, not necessarily because it's a short (although it is), but because the action kept me riveted. I wanted to know what happened next. And that, for me, is the sign of a good book.

Looking forward to #3, Ms. Warren. Hope I don't have to wait too long.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great 2nd book! 12 Jun. 2011
By Stacy Eaton - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Enjoyed this quick energetic Novella. Samantha Warren did an excellent job recapping from Book 1, Vampire Assassin without overdoing it, giving you just enough to remind you what happened, or give you enough to move forward with it if you didn't read the first book.

I really like the characters and found them entertaining and engaging. Jane has to trust people that she doesn't know to help teach her the ways to be a vampire. If it wasn't for the journal that Steven left her, she would be even more lost.

Well written and enjoyable. Quick, upbeat, entertaining and easy to read! Can't wait to read what happens in book #3. You got me hooked now Samantha!!
1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible 28 Jan. 2014

I couldn't even get through the first chapter because it kept skipping around and leaving things out. The first chapter ends in the middle of a sentence. I had to stop there. I felt that it was ridiculous and I want my money back.

I like the story, although still don't like that her husband died.

1.0 out of 5 stars 60 Pages!! 24 Aug. 2013
By Amazon Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
This book is ONLY 60 pages long
Book 2 - .99 60 pages
book 3 - .99 55 pages
book 4 - 2.99 51 pages
book 5 - 2.99 46 pages
book 6 - 2.99 55 pages
book 7 - 2.99 57 pages

For a total of 327 pages you are paying 13.94. What a freaking rip off!! Most paper back books I buy that are new to the market run from 6.99 to 8.99 and are 350 tp 450 pages easy. paying for a book in kindle format even new to the market is 5.99 tp 6.99 with the same amount of pages. Yet here I am paying for a book that is not even 340 pages in length but is also costing me 14 dallors in a KINDLE format what a MASSIVE RIP OFF.

It doesn't matter how much I liked this book there are way WAY to many other good Authors out there that are willing to put out good material at a resonable price. It is a shame though If the Author had made the books 100 pages each and kepp the price at .99 a book or even 1-3 book package for 1.99 I would have bought the entire set. This is what happens when people get Greedy though.
