This was a short read that picked up where we left off on Easter Holiday, another book by Dixon, so we meet up with some of the same characters we had been introduced to before. There was laughter, family, good friends and a wedding to plan and look forward to. There was also some unexpected romance, mixed signals and a happily ever after that didn't look like it would happen.
Once again the book ended abruptly on page 54 when the e-reader showed 66 pages and I thought I still had a ways to go. I didn't need to read an excerpt of another book when I felt there was more story to tell in this one. I will read the other books set in New Bay just to see how the story continues but this easily could have been longer to better develop the storyline which did have a lot of promise and would have given better closure.
