The New Balance 855 womens walking shoes enable you to tone muscles and burn calories in a more effective way thanks to the True Balance 1.5 Leaf Spring TPU content. The toning effect has been additionally improved with an increased outsole radius and sidewall undercut. The shoes have been provided with a C-Cap midsole and a removable full-length Abzorb insert to offer optimum cushioning and outstanding comfort. The shoes look great and are suitable for everyday wear. Their durability in the high wear areas has been ensured by the outsole, which is made from N-Durance rubber.

I bought this for 24 GBP. There are perfect for the gym. It feels like you walk in cushions. I wouldn't recommend it for walking in the streets during the winter as the ventilation is so good you feel cold air coming through them.Apart from that they are perfect for the Spring-Summer and the Gym.

I was drawn to these firstly by the reduced price of 18pounds, and secondly because I wanted black trainers as my usual black Adidas Adiprene ones had seen better years! Yes, they are comfortable and the fit is good BUT, I would have been disappointed if I'd paid the full asking price and furthermore, if I'd bought them for the "toning" claim. These are no way near as well made as the Skechers toning / shape ups range, neither are they as effective. There is however, an added padding at the heel, to raise and support the feet a bit which, cushions the feet and provides added comfort. The width is medium and size UK 7 = EUR 40.5, USA 9B with insoles of 26cm. I'm slightly cross that the sides and upper surfaces are covered in (visible) glue but as I intend to use them for country walks, the dust and mud should cover that in no time! As a previous reviewer already mentioned, they are more suited to warmer temps, certainly not for winter. For daily in/out gym uses, perfect. For mild weather walks, good and comfortable. But for toning and calories burning capabilities, it's as much as you'd get from any other `standard' trainers whilst you put in the effort and challenge your body. I have 2 pairs of New Balance running shoes that I paid full prices for and they are worthy. For these, the reduced price is right so I'm pleased with my purchase.

Bought these because of the low price and they looked good however now that i have them i want another pair. So comfortable and look really good on. Couldn't be happier. :)
