Absolutely lovely shoe for 'natural' trail running; comfortable, lightweight, minimal but well made, supportive (really cradles your foot), good traction even in winter mud and looks pleasantly low-key. I wouldn't want another shoe to be honest, I've got two pairs on the go (one for regular use and one super mucky) and another as backup in case they stop making them. Nice work New Balance!

Bought to run Canicross with my Great Dane
Fit and comfort. These trail shoes are the comfiest things I have bought in a long time, they feel like slippers. I am just breaking them in so I can't comment on their support or prowess during running but they feel great at the moment. Be aware, as others have said they are a small sizing. I usually wear an 11.5 uk shoe, occasionally a 12 in something like an Asics. These are a 12.5uk and they are just big enough.
Colour. They are iridescent/metallic green ..understated they are not.
Note if you are looking for a waterproof trail shoe these are not it. I think they work on the
design.. if you run through a stream your feet are going to get wet but the water drains out of them quickly. If you like your feet toasty warm then you don't want to get these as the mesh construction is very airy.
I give them 5 stars just for comfort and hopefully I can add or update the review after I have done a few miles in them.

Writing this review having completed 9 mile (900m ascent) Fairfield Horseshoe fell race yesterday. Fantastic race in perfect weather but I probably won't take these shoes on to the fells again. The shoes look good, are instantly comfortable and incredibly lightweight. Perhaps that's the problem - not enough 'meat' in the shoes to support ankles. The ankle does roll on uneven terrain and I could feel quite a lot of give in the shoes. There is ample grip, but other shoes such as Adidas swoop give you more confidence. I agree with another reviewer that the shoes are sized on the small size. Order half a size larger than you normally do. I think these shoes will be excellent trail shoes but beware the trade off between weight and support.
