I have had these shoes for 3+ months and trained for and run a 10k trail race with no problems to report. Excellent entry-level product.
I have bought New Balance in the past so knew in advance the size required. The thing with running shoes is that their suitablity has too many contributary factors to suggest that these will be great for everyone (e.g. the 'last' used for the shoe, the terrain you run on, whether you pro or supernate, etc.). But, as a fan of New Balance shoes, and needing something for an up and coming 10k trail run they were ideal and didn't let me down.
The shoe itself has an excellent grip, deep tread and the upper is breathable and works on the principle of letting water in and out quickly, rather than claiming to be waterproof. When running through streams and wet mud it provided the sufficient and necessary traction required to justify the spend over trying to run the course in road shoes.
