About the Author
Valerie Bloom has been a successful poet for many years. This is her second picture book - the first, Fruits (0 333 65312 2), won the Smarties Bronze Award. David Axtell lives in Cornwall with his wife and son. His first book for Macmillan was Fruits, also written by Valerie Bloom, which won the Smarties Bronze Award. He has more recently illustrated We're Going on A Lion Hunt (0 333 74149 8) for Macmillan.
