I totally agree with all the other reviews. Season 3 is the best season by far of Dawson's Creek, and this is thanks to the character of Pacey Witter. He is the best character in any season of Dawson's Creek. Mainly, I think, because he is the most believable. He acts the way most teen boys do. Dawson is just too girly and emotional. The chemistry between Joey and Pacey is fantastic, she just doesn't have the same chemistry with Dawson. I haven't seen the programme's finale yet, so I was a bit gutted to see a spoiler on here. But, I have to say, I am so pleased that they chose this outcome. It wouldn't have been right any other way. Dawson's may be a bit cheesy and sometimes unrealistic, but I love it. I just wish teenage boys as nice as this existed when I was at school!! Pacey's Creek Forever!!

well to start with this season is undoubtedly one of, if not the best season among the six seasons. with no anxiety of starting school (season one) or finishing school (season four) or more adult worries (seasons five and six) the creek kids get on with living their angst ridden lives with little troubles other than their own to worry about. slightly more polished and grown up than season two this season shows the characters at the most important years of their lives (any dawsons creek fans would probably agree)
but this season holds something extra for fans of pacey. fans that believe the series would have been better given a non character specific name like 'the creek', rather than 'dawsons creek' a name which frequently forces the writers to come back to the title character when really the show operates best as a 100% co-starring cast rather than one star and its supporting actors.
pacey is my personal favourite of the creek characters and in this season the writers really put him on the screen. been the first to have a serious high school relationship (with andie in season two) to havin the most intense, and possibly most grown up relationship (with joey in season four) and finally ending the show as the happily ever after couple (joey again in season finale), i believe pacey is more the heart of the dawsons creek relationship ethos rather just the comic relief dawson fans think hes there for. this season shows him first getting over his break up with andie, and then beautifully falling for joey in a well crafted and believable run of episodes. and in between the two pacey lights up the screen as undoubtedly the star of the season.

It's here finally. I'm afraid there are a few changes Kevin Williamson left and DC got a bit well...crazy? Jack's a football player, Jen's a cheerleader, I got sane and everyone else got crazy?! Well that's how Andie describes it. I'm afraid Andie makes a mistake and it results in a brakeup. But who would have guessed it, the bickering couple of the century get it together. Yes JOEY & PACEY! 'Im gonna count to ten ten and I'm going to kiss you, and if you don't want me to you're gonna have to stop me...' Pacey also makes the most romantic gesture ever, he buys Joey a wall! I think you may have to watch it to find out what i mean by it being a romantic gesture...
PS On the american website it says on the reviews that the theme tune has been changed. BEWARE.

Let me say right off that had the producers not changed the original soundtrack, then I would have given Season Three 5 stars. It is the season which stands out the most in my mind, and Dawson's Creek is the definitive teen drama. The characters possess an element of naivety - even innocence, which other teen shows lack. Perhaps more worldly-minded viewers will roll their eyes at Joey when she says 'If a kiss is purely physical, if there's nothing else behind it, then what's the point?' but I wish more teenagers thought like her. I love Pacey and Joey, but as a returning 20-something viewer who loved Season 3 as a teenager, I was extremely disappointed by the show's producers decision to change the original music. Even the opening track, Paula Cole's 'I Don't Want To Wait' has been replaced by Jann Arden's 'Run Like Mad.' As a result, I found that I was not able to enjoy the DVD as much because of it. Remember the song that was playing as Pacey kissed Joey for the first time (sang by Tara McLean?) Well they changed it! They can't - and shouldn't have - done that! I suppose that for customers purchasing the boxset for the first time, the music won't make a difference, but I found that a certain emotional aspect that was so prominent when Season 3 aired on TV was considerably lacking. And that is a real shame because this is truly Dawson's Creek at its best.

Dawson's Creek Season 3 is a must-have for any die hard Dawson's Creek fan. This is Pacey & Joey's season and boy, what a roller coaster ride watching those two get together! We got tears, we got tantrums, we got break ups and make ups.....this season of DC has it all right here in 23 edge-of-your-seat episodes. This season is what DC is ALL about so don't delay, buy TODAY!

After being hooked on Dawsons Creek by a one of me girly friends from season 2 i cant wait to get the 3rd series on DVD. They just manage to say all of the things that you wish you had said in that situation but you never think of it til afterwards.
Roll on getting Series 4, 5 & 6 on DVD soon - the sooner the better!
