5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable! It's a shame I wasn't there 31 Mar 2009
Format:Audio CD
Neverender saw Coheed and Cambria perform each of their four albums to date over four nights in October in New York, then in November this idea was taken to Chicago, Los Angeles, and finally to London in December.

This box set is the long awaited release of the performances from New York, and it in so many ways it did not disappoint. Each night brings with it a performance of every song from the band's four albums. However, they do not just perform the song as it was, with each performance comes the additions and new ideas maturity brings.
An example of this being Delirium Trigger, on the first night, which shows how the band has progressed in 7 years since album number 1.

Other highlights include the Willing Wells on Night 3. They showcase what this band can really do. Full of shifting time signatures, trademark guitar solos, and all in all simply incredible musicianship which comes together to give us some of the best prog rock of recent years!

This box set is not without it's problems. It does not include the full encores which would have been experienced if you were there.
If you are a perfectionist then you will be disappointed the band did not hit the studio to cover up and overdub any of their mistakes, The Lying Lies & Dirty Secrets of Miss Erica Court, is particularly immense!! As such these are live performances in which the band show to us how the shows really happened.

For your money you also get a documentary DVD which gives a close look into the history of the band and many of the issues they have had to go through. Also included is a collectible metal dragonfly, a motif from the sci-fi fantasy world these concept albums are set in.

For the fan this is definately worth the money!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolute Quality and worth every penny. 26 Mar 2009
Format:Audio CD
Wow! What an incredible boxset!! Everything is so well done from the presentation to the photos to the filming...Just EVERYTHING. This is a must have item for any fan, whether you were at the shows or not.

I was lucky enough to attend the London shows and my only wish is that there was more footage from that, but I'm sure the people from Chicago and LA feel exactly the same. And let's be honest, the band had to draw a line somewhere otherwise we would've needed about 40 discs.

The documentary is an awesome bonus. Really in depth and very touching to hear the band and their friends and family talk about the band's past, both good and bad. Nice to see Josh (ex drummer) make an appearance too.

So yeah 10/10 if you ask me. The balls up with the dispatch dates did put a slight dampener on it but it was 100% worth the wait.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pull The Trigger & The Nightmare Stops 24 Mar 2009
By J. Wade
Format:Audio CD
Ok, I had a bit of beef with Amazon taking so long to get this to me- but I can honestly say that it was worth the wait and then some.

When you first get the box, you'll be struck by how good the quality really is. The back shows the track listing for every DVD/CD featured in this set, and inside is a hard cover book.
This book houses all of the content. The cd's are on the left fold out section, there's a photo book (amazing photography of the crowd, band members and various other bits and pieces) and documentary disc in the middle, and the DVD's are on the right fold out section.

I watched the shows from SSTB>NWFT and ended on the documentary.
I was blown away by the camera angles, the audio quality, the performance, the lights, the video screens featuring story related clips- everything.
It's an expensive box set, but it's worth that bit extra to own the cds and the documentary. As a huge fan, I found the documentary insightful and have fallen even more in love with the band!

Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Neverender - a must have for C&C fans! 9 May 2009
Format:Audio CD
I anticipated the arrival of this box set for a couple of weeks after ordering and was not disappointed in the slightest. It has everything promised in the other reviews I'd read, and I think is a must have for any Claudio fan. The documentary disc is a real interesting insight to the band's history and development with its ups and downs, and the other discs and cds are just amazing to watch and listen to.
The book was bigger than I expected, and I love the impressive photos and quotes from band members, and the dragonfly is soo pretty! (Claudio would be pleased with it's wings ;) !!)
It's well worth it and I wish I'd been there at the Neverender tour!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best box sets I have got in ages. 16 Nov 2010
Format:Audio CD
I got this to get the CDs of the shows as I like live version on CD but had not expected such a nice set. It is very well made and the documentary and footage of the shows are superb quality. This has put the first four albums in context with when they written and also the songs in album context. The package is great the book is well bound and the brass dragonfly in very nice. Altogether this is one great collection. I was worried I would find it hard going to watch whole albums live but that was no problem as the energy of the shows shines through. There is limited text in the package but it looks lovely and the music is just beautiful.
