Reviews

Available for the first time on DVD, the zany, madcap Never Too Young To Rock was made at the high point of glam rock in 1975. It offers a unique opportunity to experience the driving, feel good sounds of the eras top pop combos in their pomp. From the infectious choruses of Mud s Tiger Feet and The Cat Crept In , through the catchy doo-wop of The Rubettes, to percussive anthems like The Glitter Band s Angel Face , this film provides aural nostalgia at its most intense. The pleasures of this glittery little time capsule don t end with the songs, though: just check out the threads on all those young dudes the revival of the scarlet, bell-bottomed cat suit with sparkly epaulettes must surely be just round the corner. Bless my soul, its rock and roll !

I remember watching it years ago and loved it for the music. These were the bands that I loved in my early teenage years. I didn't realise until watching it now just how badly made this film was. It is so bad it's good but just for the music. Funnily enough, my 6 year old grand daughter loves it and watches it often when she comes round. She thinks the lead singer with The Glitter Band is 'cute' and she sings along to the songs. Buy this for the nostalgia, this is proper music.

Really if you went to see this expecting RADA you must be crackers. Did you not see Mud, Rubettes or the Glitter Band on TV. They were just camp fun and none too serious and that's what you get here and nothing more. Enjoy it for what it is and don't criticise it for not being what it was never gonna be!

This film features a whole load of Glam Rock stars and Bands singing some of the classic tunes from around 1974. It's not a film you watch for the storyline which is stupid and daft. It's well worth watching only if you are a fan of that era and the bands and the music. The songs feature all the way through, but there's a concentration towards the end when a concert is staged. The sound is however only mono, so not one to connect to your music system.
The DVD also features the workings of the Radio One Road Show touring around the UK during the hot summer of 1976.

Don't get this vid if you want accurate historical, back in the day information.
It's slapstick good fun humour, best enjoyed with a bottle or two of favourite plonk.
A great film.

Pure nostalgia for the ageing Glam rocker! Those that appreciate the 60s pop movie will probably not appreciate this. But who cares? They were the older generation by 1975! More music than plot, thankfully.

As a big Glitter Band fan I went to the cinema to see this film several times in one week. The storyline is still as corny as when I first saw it but it brought back many memories of the music of my youth. I would recommend it- but ignore the story just revel in the nostalgia.
