4.0 out of 5 stars Takling short stories and succeeding, 13 Jun 2010

This review is from: Never Trust a Rabbit (Paperback)
Short stories are a difficult medium, so often just one good idea but without any of the flesh to deliver a satisfying read.
I thought this was going to be another disappointing short story collection when I found the first two stories to be profoundly unsatisfying, but my concern was unfounded. There is some excellent and entertaining work contained within these pages...so no spoilers, just try it for yourself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like nothing else I've read, 7 Aug 2001

A collection af incredibly imaginative and diverse short stories. With 'City Deep', Dyson gives us a classic tale of the supernatural, whilst 'All in the Telling' is unexpectedly haunting in a different way. I suppose you just have to read it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny, witty and very..............very dark, 7 Jun 2001
By A Customer
Dyson's style is both amusing and easy to read. His stories are the product of over-active imagination mixed with comic genius and a few morals thrown in for good measure. This book is a real reader's book, the stories are just the right length and the pages just keep on turning. Buy it...................buy it now!!!!!!!!
