Format:Audio CD
I took two friends to Rhosygilwen to hear Tina and Nikki Iles perform a caberet style evening in this splendid venue set in the Preseli Hills.
From the first notes I was swept away by the warmth, range and subtlety of Tina's glorious voice and the brilliant jazz accompaniment by Nikki.
There is a pleasing balance about the tracks on this CD. If I had to specify my favourits,'Si Tu Partais' with its seductive Latin rhythm and 'I Never Told You' in which Tina gives a fragile, tremulous performance, so special and so rarely heard in Jazz.
So after the show, I bought a copy of this CD which had several of the songs in that evening's programme. I find new facets of her voice to enjoy with each playing. I cannot imagine that there is a man, or woman for that matter, who could resist falling instantly in love with this fabulous performer. She is the complete package! The copies I have bought today will make superb Christmas presents for my family.
