Product Description

With plenty of insider's insight - and without pulling any punches -Dana Kollman introduces the real science and the actual process of crime science investigation as she recounts her life as a crime scene investigator in all its fascinating and gritty detail. Whether explaining rigor mortis or insect infestation rates, speeding to the accident scene or cautiously entering a crime scene, she shows what it's really like to work on the front lines as a forensic expert.

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 21 Dec 2008
By J. Blake "richaldis" (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This could have been a great book if the author had concentrated on the science its uses instead of displaying the huge chip on her shoulder on every page. She quite obviously hates TV forensic shows and thinks her self agrandising stories are some how more entertaining than explaining what is and isn't possible. This must be one of the most arrogant non-fiction writers I've ever had the misfortune to read. Avoid like the plague.
