We saw the Penelopes supporting the Human League at Manchester Apollo on 8th December. They were an amazing act despite being apologetic for being the supporting band and acknowledging that people had come to see the Human League rather than them. We had a wonderful view of them due to the fact that a lot of the audience for the Human League didn't come in until after The Penelopes(or rather rudely in some cases during the supporting act). They are an electro-funk band and the music is very catchy and you can't resist dancing to it. The album contains a lot of the music played at the concert. The only disappointment is that I have had to work hard on the Internet to find who the female singer/guitarist was with them (Laura Kidd). She makes a huge contribution to the overall success and should get a greater mention. Overall a brilliant CD and we are listening to it again and again.....
