Product Description

Never Too Late For Love is an African American contemporary romance.

This is the second book in the Eastman Family and Friend series. It has a woman's fiction tone, a bit more than a simple romance, although there is plenty of romance.

"Who says romance belongs only to the young and restless? Never Too Late For Love is a fine romance between 47-year old Tiffany Eastman and 55-year old Jason Cates. It is also the story of healing of a remarkably strong and fine woman.

Tiffany has left behind a lousy marriage and an alcohol addiction problem to start life anew in St Louis.

Unfortunately, Jason is still reluctant to let go of the memories of his wife Diana. Hmm. But no fear, Tiffany will fix that. Never Too Late For Love is the story of just that. No murder, no screaming fits, just a nice, slow and easy romance. And it works, although many things could go wrong." Mrs. Giggles

~Excerpt~

They reached the porch, but Jason hesitated at the door as if he were loath to go inside. She didn’t want to break the spell between them either. They looked at each other, and he pulled her to him. He bent his head and touched her lips gently. A gasp caught in her throat.
He deepened the kiss, and his hunger ignited hers.
They both reached for the door simultaneously and stumbled through the house. They fell on the first cushioned surface they came across, the couch in front of the fireplace. He was on top of her. The weight of his body pressed her into the soft cushions of the couch. He trailed tiny kisses across her jawline, then returned to devour her mouth.
She arched against him, feeling his hardness pressed against her lower abdomen. Seemingly of their own volition, her legs parted, bringing her feminine softness against him. A purely masculine growl sounded deep in his throat. Slow, deep grind.
He raised, and she reached for him, needing, wanting, to feel all of him, but he was unbuttoning her blouse and exposing her lacy bra, white against her chocolate skin.
“You’re so beautiful,” he murmured, nuzzling her throat. He moved downward slowly, tasting and nibbling. His tongue teased in lazy circles over one nipple, then the other through the thin fabric of her bra.
Was that a whimper coming from her throat? He reached behind her, and with one hand, unhooked her bra and eased her blouse off her shoulders. Her bra followed. It fell to the floor.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW! Monica, What an aftermath to "Heart's Desire" 29 May 2000
By B. J. Woodbury - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
First, if this is a "firt-time-read" of one of Monica Jackson's books, you MUST READ FIRST: "Heart's Desire". This book, "Never Too Late For Love" is the follow-up to Heart's Desire. Heart's Desire provides all the background information that will enable you to appreciate this book.
Monica, congratulations for your presentation of this story. Tiffany, Dante and Jenny Eastman who went through that horrid ordeal with the late Sidney Eastman was enough to make anyone wonder how they would manage after all that drama.
Here, we are presented, with the mere fact how when you don't handle those unresolved issues like abuse and alcoholism within the family, not seeking any "family counseling" all it does it suppress it until it burst. Well, this book illustrates all the aftermath drama that comes with the territority. Monica Jackson, so profoundly, gives us a very smooth easy read, some very juicy intimate scenes between 47 y/o Tiffany and 55 y/o Jason (WOW! ), much humor with one of Jason's son's and his many women problems, family matters, fears, twists and turns you won't believe and finally the outcome.
See, I can't give away the story. Just look at it like this, if you like stories that have all the drama life can deal sometimes to you and you want to see how the issues get resolved, then Read This Book. The book brought me laughter, sadness and then a smile, when you finish you'll understand why.
Now Monica, I sense another sequel to this, I could be wrong, but it seems like Jenny and Jared?
Thanks Monica for bringing back characters from Heart's Desire, A Magical Moment and The Look of Love, it was fun reading about the whole crew!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Love Story for Second-Timers 27 Jun 2000
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This romance tale is incredibly "on the mark". Monica Jackson "put herself out", with this book. "Never Too Late For Love", a realistic love story gives energy to singles over 40. Many African American romances features characters in their mid-to-late twenties and early thirties. Understandably when people meet and connect in the mid-life stage, they have issues unresolved and unfortunate skeletons "shaking their bones" to wreck havoc and make some noise. Jackson tells a sexy, down-to-earth tale that many romance fans have been wishing and craving for. Tiffany Eastman and Jason Cates have a great deal of flame and fire from the on-start and mature romance readers are in for a treat. I had to put off some much needed chores for this one, and I have not regretted reading this book uninterrupted yet. Monica Jackson has her best romance to-date, and "Never Too Late For Love" has put her at the top of my list of romance authors.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Story! 1 Jun 2000
By Sean D. Young - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book was a wonderful book. I enjoyed it so much. Tiffany and Jason were definitely made for each other.
This book started out with alot of sensuality and starting over so it seemed. Then the drama started. This book got to be so good, that you couldn't wait to see what would happen next.
This family really had alot of issues that needed to be resolved. It really shows that you have to face your past and not just ignore it. Tiffany had to try to be strong for her children and mostly for herself.
Jason Cates was a wonderful seasoned man. I liked him alot. He had some unresolved issues of his own. I am glad they found each other.
If you have not read this book, please do, but first pick up Hart's Desire. You will get a glimpse of Tiffany, her children and Jason. You won't regret it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Drama. Drama and more Drama! 21 Jun 2000
By Crystal Hayden - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Monica has done it again. She has proven that there is love at all ages and stages in life.
This story of Tiffany and Jason was awesome. Their love for each other was hot, but they had some unresolved issues that they both had to face to move on.
Tiffany and her kids went through alot in her first marriage (Heart's Desire)and there was things that she had to face in order to truly open up to Jason. And Jason had his on issues to deal with.
There are many shocking and eye opening scenes in this book. It was good to learn about some of the characters in Monica's other books.
I can not wait for Jenny's story and I would like to see a story on Jarad and Tiffany's son Dante'.
Hats off to Monica once again, Good work!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good read 14 July 2000
By "kaedee" - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Mass Market Paperback
Never too late was based on a story of true love that a "40 something" woman can relate to. The struggle with the "family issues" and the passion and the eventual love are all real life issues a mature woman has to deal with. I enjoyed reading this book, but thought it needed a little more realism in the actual flow of the story. The basic issues were fine, but I think it needed a little "fine-tuning" when it came to the descriptions of some the plot.
