While most folks will be buying this for Laurell K Hamilton's name on the cover, be advised that as well as being the shortest story in the bunch, it's also a bit tame. Without her trademark sex and violence it's a childrens story for the non-feminists. By far the better works are Sharon Shin's Wrong Bride Groom and Liu's Tangleroot Palace which shine for their writing as well as their story. However, the whole collection is a very lightweight read which will quickly be forgotten. Not a bad book, but could have been so much better and will not do much to make publishers pick up short story collections, or win fans for the authors in this particular volume.
