Never Admit to Beige had me laughing out loud on the tube much to the amusement of my fellow travellers. This fast paced book is great fun and I thorougly recommend it. I enjoyed reading about the main character, Trigg's adventures (or mishaps) and the various characters on the Gold Coast. This is a very funny story, yet amidst the comedy there are parts that are quite meaningful. I really enjoyed this book and I think Drapes is a very funny writer.

FABULOUS - You really won't be able to put this book down or stop yourself from laughing out loud

I recently heard about this book on Simon Mayo's BBC Five Live book review show - Mayo loved it and so did I. I could not put this book down - and this from a person who does not normally read for pleasure. I really wanted/needed to know what would happen to poor old Trigg and I enjoyed reading about all the hilarious predicaments he found himself in. If you want a laugh, or just want to know more about the sunny Gold Coast, then you should do yourself a favour and read this book. You may get a few funny looks when you are raucously laughing to yourself on the tube/bus/plane but it will be well worth it.

A somewhat convoluted and sometimes absurd plot that leaves several questions unanswered, but all in all a fun and entertaining read. Enjoyable characters and laugh out loud funny.
