Product Description

Neuromancer is the most influential science fiction novel of our time. Cyberspace and virtual reality were invented in this book. It changed forever the way we look at tomorrow and was the inspiration behind the blockbuster film The Matrix. In 2009 it celebrates its 25th Anniversary.

The Matrix unfolds like neon origami beneath clusters and constellations of data. Constructs, AIs, live here. Somewhere, concealed by ice, Neuromancer is evolving.

As entropy goes into reverse, Molly’s surgical implants broadcast trouble from the ferro-concrete geodesic of the Sprawl. Maelcum, Rastafarian in space, is her best hope of rescue.

But she and Case, computer cowboy, are busy stealing data from the almighty Megacorps. If the Megacorps don’t get them both, perhaps Case will fall prey to the cheap treachery of Linda Lee, someone as lost as himself.

From the Back Cover

’Kaleidoscopic, flashy and decadent… an amazing virtuoso performance… 'Neuromancer', in every sense, is state-of-the-art'
WASHINGTON POST

Case is hired to steal data from one of the almighty megacorps. Riding shotgun is Molly, a wired-up samurai. They venture deep into the Matrix, amongst the gangsters of the Sprawl, only to confront the Neuromancer, who is playing a game far deadlier than their own.

'Epic in scale… shimmers like chrome in a desert sun'
WALL STREET JOURNAL

'Gibson is a technological fantasist with unparalleled sensitivity… wired direct to the mains'
NEW MUSICAL EXPRESS

'A literary big bang… A global network of computer hackers has committed countless nefarious deeds in this book's honour'

VOX

'Set for brainstun… one of the most unusual and involving narratives to be read in many an artificially induced blue moon!'
