This book is a little gem. It was suggested to me by one of my consultants when I was a third year medical student downunder many years ago. It not only brought the specialty of neurology alive, but made it fun and understandable. I've continued to refer to this book over the years, for medical student bedside teaching, for my own membership exams, and subsequently when I've taught others to prepare for membership exams. The problem is, I frequently lend it out to colleagues sitting for exams and have managed to lose track of it many times as they pass it onto their friends(and have therefore bought several replacement copies over the years!!). The book concentrates on a case- oriented approach and gives really useful tips at the end of each chapter. The book teaches how to approach neurology in the limited time given for a short case examination, it teaches good examination techniques and a method for how to approach a clinical problem so that you can get the most information out of your examination in a concise and logical manner. I've previously struggled to get hold of it in the UK, so am delighted to find there's now a 2nd edition available through Amazon.
