Review

'This volume provides a broad and interesting snapshot of the current state of the art in grooming behaviour studies and will be a valuable resource for students, colleagues, and interested snoopers from other disciplines.' The Biologist

Book Description

Grooming is among the most evolutionary ancient and highly represented behaviours in many animals. Research has demonstrated that grooming is regulated by specific circuits and sensitive to stress, pharmacologic compounds and genetic manipulation, making it ideal for modelling many affective disorders, such as stress and post-traumatic stress disorder.

the manual for mice grooming behavior and its circuitry 14 Oct. 2011

I am a 3rd year postdoc in the field of neurosciences. I am interested in innate behaviors and neural circuits. Recently I ordered this book and I am very happy with it. I had no clue about grooming behavior and the scientific literature on the topic is scarce and scattered. It reads great and it touches all the basics. Very very helpful! 5 starts IMHO
