I am a first year dental students who up to two days ago had nightmares about anatomy exam. That was until I saw this book and now life is beautiful again:-)
I think if I just list the categories in this book any struggling dental student would quickly appreciate its value. Just imagine each topic with very descriptive coloured pictures from different angles which makes it almost impossible not to understand the content. All the information are concise and to the point and Organized neatly in tables which makes it perfect for both learning and revision. Each topic is accompanied with topographic anatomy and relevant clinical considerations.
1- Development of head and neck
2- Osteology
3- Basic neuroanatomy and cranial nerves
4- The neck
5- Scalp and muscles of facial expression
6- Parotid bed and glands
7- Temporal and infratemporal fossae
8- Muscles of mastication
9- Temporomandibular joint
10- Pterygopalatine fossae
11- Nose and nasal cavity
12- Paranasal sinuses
13- Oral cavity
14- Tongue
15- Pharynx
16- Larynx
17- Cervical fascia
18- Ear
19- Eye and orbit
20- Autonomics of head and neck
21- Intraoral injections
Overall its a great book which shows authors passion for the subject, attention to details and a gift for Simplification (is this a word?:-)

This is the perfect book for Head and Neck anatomy. DO NOT be tempted to purchase books consisting of pages and pages of cadaver dissections, too much mess, too little contrast. I beleive artists impressions are the best way to thoroughly learn your first year anatomy. It does however need a good accompanying physiology text as I would challenge you to find anything other than short annotations and titles in Netters. I would recommend Principles of Anatomy and Physiology International Student Version (2 Volume Set): 2-Volume Set, International Student Version (Isv 13th Edition) . Buy this and NEVER sell it on at the freshers book sale.

This is the best book for dental student I have ever seen. All you need as a dentist is here. It is very well organized with great illustrations and easy to understand of complicated topics of head and neck anatomy. The explanations are arranged in columns which make them easy to understand and recall.In addition, there is Clinical correlations for the most of the anatomical topics. But there is only one problem; the labels of some illustrations are small to read. So, I think you will have a problem to read them if you have a visual issue!

Unbelievable book! I have never been engrossed so deeply into learning something so fascinating. The way he puts it all together just makes it extremely easy to become proficient with head and neck anatomy. This should be in every dentist's personal library and great for studying for boards.

This book has a great review of all head and neck structures. Wonderful pictures as always with Netter, and great succinct tables with review information.
