This book is a breath of fresh air - animal samplers and individual designs that are realistic and challenging. Many books I've seen in the past have contained designs that do not resemble the subject in the amount of detail that I prefer - being an avid cross-stitcher! The range of subjects is excellent, too - african wildlife, birds of prey, sealife, polar animals. There are interesting display ideas too. Each design has a clear colour chart and key - however, all designs are stitched using DMC threads and there are no conversions included for Anchor or Madeira stitchers. Another plus point is that there is a variety of design sizes - ideal for quick projects or those for the more ambitious among us.
All in all, great value for money and a pleasure to look through.

The details in the book are incredible, all the charts and colour codings of the materials are easy to follow.
The sense of satisfaction is immense on completing any of the designs, whether large or small.
All of the projects that I have completed are certainly a topic of conversation with friends and family, absolute treasures to keep and admire.
The assistance given in the book to finish the works of art successfully is also very helpful and easy to follow. It is certainly a book to keep referring to.
